Here it says you must have the 10.6 installatoin DVD: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3986

Does that mean I can use the DVD you buy at the store to upgrade to Snow Leopard or does that mean you have to use the disk that came with my macbok? I am missing the disks that came with it so if it is not possible to use the upgrade disk, is there any way to do it without having the original disks?

I am using a 2010 Macbook Unibody that already has Snow Leopard on it.

Yeah they want $16 for it. Since I already have the Snow Leopard disk already I wanted to see if that would work instead of spending the money
