Hello i just got my iphone today and trying to figure out what i am doing wrong when charging it.
I saw this site but i think i am missing something here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476

With the iphone i got a white usb cable and a usb adapter and with this i plugged it in the wall outlet when the phone is off.
Has soon has i plug it in the phones vibrates twice then turns on , i turned off again but i see no icon or display warning me that the batter is being charged?
I rember with the a friend ipod touch he use to see a screen displaying a white charging or plug icon.
Am i doing somethign worng?

If you power the iPhone off you will not get any indicators. The battery charging symbol it seems you are describing is the one when the iPhone is on, but only asleep. You can see this screen by powering the phone on. Then once it's on plug it in, then click the sleep/wake button on the top right of the iPhone. Next, click the sleep/wake button again and you should see the battery status screen.
