I just a new MBP so I started out from scratch in iPhoto with a "2006" library.
I had backed up my 2001-2006 pics on an exernal.
I just created a new library of my external of about 1700 pics. The size on my MPB is only 550mb. Pretty neat. Anyway, so I closed out my external library and went to open my laptop based 2006 iphoto and it only lets me pick 1 folder at a time?? I want to open all the pics, just like before, the whole library. In iTunes you could select "library 06" or whatever and the lot would open. I can see the Library.iPhoto file but it's greyed out. What am I doing wrong? Thanks a ton!

When I hold "alt" and click iPhoto I get "Choose Library"
Then I navigate to pictures/iphoto library/ then my choices are...
Data
iPOD Photo Cache
Modified
Original
There's a ton of other stuff, like Library.iPhoto but it's greyed out.

If you don't select anything at that folder level and press OPEN, it should open your iPhoto Library as you made it. 😕

Man, OK, I'm dumb.....
Thanks, I was trying to pick the right folder/file but you're right. I just went to pictures/iphoto library/ open and it worked. Thanks a ton!

I think it messed me up cause I just started learning how to use multiple libraries in iTunes. With that you actually have to select iTunes Library/ not so with iPhoto. Oh well 😀 Thanks again!
