I just recently purchased my first Mac and I am having trouble with my iChat and iSight.

I am trying to chat with my husband who is deployed... he is using AIM and I am using iChat with my AIM login. I am wondering if there is a way for him to see me with the webcam/iSight without him having the camera... We don't want to use video/sound chat...just the ability to see! He doesn't have the ability to change anything on his end as he is using a military computer. Every time we try to do the iSight, it comes up on my computer and I can accept, but it says that it is unable to connect on his end. He says that nothing comes up on his end that it is just "waiting for me to connect"

Can he see me without him having a camera?! How do I do this?!

HELP!

Eh... I'm thinking that you can't do that with iChat. But Skype would work. In fact, Skype's probably your best answer. Just have both of you sign up for an account each, (free), and then tell each other your names and call. You can then click a little icon on the bottom that is a camera, and he'll see you. But just a warning: Skype isn't as good of quality as iChat. This will also help with any bandwidth issues between the two of you. Hope this helps!
