Help With iSight Audio Settings

I am trying to record a video using the iSight in iMovie (not sure what year, bought the mac book pro new with iLife built-in back in November of '07)

The video captures fine... but there is no audio. However, I can input something into the mic jack and that picks up fine while recording video. But I can't get the iSight to use the internal mic as the source for audio...

Did you configure it in System Preferences -> Sound -> input Devices? It may not be selected.

yeah it's selected...

i just had to restart iMovie for it to change
