I just used Migration Assistant to move all my files from an old hard drive to my new Mac Pro (OS 10.6.1), but whenever I try to make any adjustments or changes, the program tells me that the file is locked, and to Get Info in the finder and unlock them (which I do) to no avail. My only option is to SAVE AS, and put a copy on the desktop, which I can then move back into its original folder. Any ideas? This is making me nuts.
Thanks!

Open the whole folder using info
Add user all for read/write permissions

That should fix it.

If you need to restrict, then make changes after above.

I had same problem migrating disks with SL update.

I'm writing this from work PC so if that doesn't exactly help reply and I'll check when I get home the exact way I fixed it.
