Hi,

I have seen a few videos about mastering and gave it a try myself. It can be done by clicking the master tab, then going to the Input 1-2 column setting and then clicking setting - mastering, etc.

When I first did this a few weeks ago, there were many options such as hip hop mastering, electronic mastering, etc.

Now, when I do so, I have different - much less enticing options and have no idea where the good ones went.

Anyone have any idea? Please let me know.

I tried googling, etc......

I'm guessing there isn't a simple "check the box" fix for this. I know GB and Logic are correlated. I tried Time Machining Logic back to it's original state (app only) and that didn’t work. I'm going to try to uninstall Logic tonight via AppCleaner then reinstall it following the instructions within the link below. Hopefully that'll solve this problem. Not sure if I'm the only person having it, but I'll post its solution once I figure it out.

Thanks.

although i don't know how to fix your software quandry, there is a better way to apply mastering processing.

mixdown your finished track, and then reimport it into whatever app you want to use to master it. you can then apply all the individual processes you need to (compression, EQ, limiting, and any other "sweetening" processing) just as you would any piece of audio

as a rule of thumb, this will provide you with much better results.
