Help with Macbook desktop icon please

Hi guys,

I've seen several screenshots of people's desktops where their Macintosh HD icon had the drive's capacity and space left displayed right below it. How do I enable that? I would love to see how much hd space I have left at a glance below that icon. Thanks!

In Finder, take a in your Menu Bar under View/Show View Options. In there there's a tick box to 'Show item info' – tick this and your icons will display the information you crave.

that shows the total space of the drive/folder just so you know...good tip either way
