    Hi,

Basically my keyboard has stopped functioning properly al of a sudden. when i press the r-key 'rtq' appears instead, when i press the f-key 'afgh' appears instead, and when i press the v-key 'bnvz' appears. as you can imagine this is really frustrating to deal with. does anybody know what may be the issue?
i have already tried resetting the pram.

    Thanks!

What Mac OS X version do you use? Since when does this happen? Has anything happened shortly before?
Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, user account?

As to being a virus: No.

Currently there are zero viruses affecting Mac OS X in public circulation, but there are other kinds of malware existing, that can infect your Mac.

    Hi, here is the spec

    Model Name: MacBook
    Model Identifier: MacBook4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz

    Mac OS X version 10.5.8

It is still happening with a temporarily created user account.

Nothing happened shortly before, i literally woke up turned on my computer and it was occurring.
