Get the base macbook pro, the upgraded ones vram wont help you out. 2 gigs of ram will be fine for what you are doing it sounds like.

In your case, the MB would probably be fine, but I could see the benefit to a larger screen.

A real benefit to you DJing in the dark will be the MBP backlit keyboard
 
You should get it as soon as possible to take advantage of the free ipod + printer promotion. You can resell them for cash if you don't need them. It'd probably be enough to get you the 4gb ram upgrade set from OWC ($240).
