Hi,

I am trying to insert a Quicktime movie into a Keynote presentation I am doing for a public speaking class.

The video in question is available in two formats MPEG and MOV, both of which have proven unsuccessful to me.

The MOV file will not open in QuickTime OR MPlayer.

The MPEG version of it opens in MPlayer but the audio is at an accelerated rate, and a quick look at the Audio MIDI Setup shows that the system sound has been switched to 96K HZ.

So, the one last caveat, if you are willing to help me with this, is that the video concerns a controversial topic, but my presentation is meant to be persuasive in nature and is riding on proving a harm which I think I can best prove with a video. The video is of a routine neonatal circumcision taking place in a hospital.

The videos are available here:

I downloaded the longest version (13 minute) in both MPEG and MOV. Again my goal is to be able to embed this video into a Keynote presentation. Thank you for any assistance you can provide with my project.

I'm not going to download the largest versions, but the 25 sec mpeg works for me, so make sure you've updated QuickTime to the latest version (7.1.3). The Mac .mov 25 sec version is an invalid .mov file (it's missing needed setup information), so it's no surprise that it doesn't play anywhere if the larger file is the same. The Windows .mov works for me, though it's using an ancient codec unsuited for real-world footage.
