Apple Music Help with Music.app to delete Music tracks from SMB network share

I have kept my music library on a network share for many years.

I am doing some spring cleaning, and found something annoying. It seems that when I select to delete something from my library, it just removes it from Apple Music, and no option to move to trash.

I guess this is because when I delete something on the SMB network share with finder, it presents this dialogue rather than a trash dialogue:

Anyone have any ideas to get around this?
