Hi,
I had a successful jail break but my Ipod died. I was given a new one that was on 1.1.2. So I downloaded the 2 firmwares and went back to 1.1.1. I then went to jailbreakme.com and did the appsnap and the OKTOPREP. Every thing is great..so I click on SHIFT and do the restore of the 1.1.2.
When it reboots the installer is gone. When I try and run windows.bat it says failed because I didn't do the OKTOPREP...but I did. What did I do wrong. Any advice is appreciated.

After you do OKTOPREP, instead of hitting shift + restore, hit SHIFT + UPDATE! Hitting restore wipes the OKTOPREP. I nearly made the same mistake, but caught it in time.

That was it! Thanks. I am a moron after midnight.
