Okay, I'm trying to get a chart of my checking account all made out. The chart has 5 columns, Date, Transaction, Withdrawal, Deposit, and Balance. First off, I need to create a formula that will take the value of the previous Balance cell, add the value entered for the Deposit cell, and subtract the value entered for the Withdrawal cell. Similar to what the programs Cashbox or ChaChing do. (I'd just use one of those programs, but I like having the customization of a spreadsheet)

Also, since I'm a very visual person, I want to be able to have a graph of my account balance by date.

If you need me to clear up any of my questions, just let me know. Sometimes I can be bad at explaining things in writing.

You want a column showing a running balance, right?
Make a formula which takes the value of the cell above, then adds the values in the cells to the left that either have a +number or a -number. Then drag the formula down the column so the the formula a changes to the proper references for each row.
