Hey
I was just writing up a lot of data into Numbers for a project I'm doing, and when I finished I realized I forgot some decimals... I made it 24 instead of .24. Since it really is A LOT of data, I was wondering if there is a way to add the decimal without rewriting the whole thing, since it took me well over an hour :(

Chances are, anything that anyone could come up with would take about as long as going through the data and making the corrections.

If you have a LOT of changes and they're all contiguous, you could do this:

in a free column (for s&g, let's say it's D), input the formula:

=A1/100

A1 is just a placeholder, enter the correct cell reference in the proper row.

Then, select the first cell and down the D column to match the cells with errors.

use the Fill Down command from the Insert menu

While the data is still selected, use Copy from the Edit menu

Select the first cell with the incorrect data.

Use the Paste Values command from the Edit menu (not the regular Paste command, very important)

This might save some time, but maybe not ...
