Help with print/save in Preview

I have TONS of Boardmaker pages I need to change to PDF, one page at a time, that is how they want it here at work.

When I go to print, i click on preview, then from preview, i click on file/print

I make it 90%, (fits the page better)

Click the PDF button, save as PDF

Now, here is what I want to change:

It auto saves as [Preview of "whatever the file name is.bmd".pdf

I want it to just save it as the whatever the file name is.pdf I do not want the old extenstion, and I do not want the preview of. How does one change that default?

Why add the extra step of going through the Preview app? Just save as PDF in the original print dialog.

might be a dumb question but would Automator work for what your trying to do
