ok. can someone please to a step by step on this. I am so confused (mostly on software... I believe I understand the physical stuff)

1. I have a PowerMac g4 867 that has a cable modem plugged into its ethernet jack
2. I have an iBook 600
3. I place airport cards in both machines.
4. I do not need a ABS as the PMG4 will act as a ABS
5. I plug the epson c60 into the PMG4
6. I install jaguar on both machines to take advantage of the rendezvous goodness
7. i install Airport 2.04

then what?

thanks again. i think I am not the only one confused here. I want to share:

1. files
2. printers
3. internet connection

ALMOST! and YOur Welcome!

1. Just turn on file sharing, and drop whatever files you want to share into your "public" folder on your hard drive.

2. Turn on printer sharing. The "remote" computer should be able to immediately see the printer when you go to print.

3. Just turn on Internet Sharing. This step actually needs to be done first, otherwise the first two won't work at all.

krossfyter: that was a well-thought out, lucid and very accurate description of what is going on. Congrats! and Thank you for the thank yous!

okay gus cool.

so neither puters are connected to the airport at all through cables right because they are connected to it wireless.

okay so you have the c60 printer connected to a mac. that mac is connected wireless to the airport by the air port card etc. so the other puter thats not connected to the printer by a cable at all is connected to the airport by the airport card in it and thus connected to the printer? so the print sever machine is a print sever machine because of the airport and it being connected to the printer through its connection by cable to the printer? or am i way off on this? man i hope that was understandable because im not sure if i understand it. oh well :D

what in the world are you talkin about? :(
