Where are you trying to put it? Do you have Windows Media Player for Mac?

First of all, a mac powerbook as opposed to a pc powebook :p

Garageband won't import wavs. You will have to convert it in itunes to either mp3 or aac.

iTunes will do it for you. Make sure you select 'mp3' or 'AAC' in the import menu of preferences. Then drag the soundclip intoo the iTunes library. Control-click on that song then select 'Convert into mp3'. Then drag out the new file.

Or a more elegent way of doing it is using an app like SoundStudio or Sound Converter
