If anyone else has has this problem, I will appreciate any help.

I received my brand new iPhone 7 last week and got straight to the Music App to redownload all my tracks again, seeing as I couldn't back them up onto my computer.

Since that, the downloads just keep getting stuck and I'm struggling to download any new songs. I have tried swipping to remove the downloads, but nothing happens, restarting the device and I didn't want to do anything as drastic as resetting my phone again, so I've come to the MacRumors forums in hope that someone else has had this issue and had it sorted.

Just want to know if there is away to get rid of the downloads and start fresh or force them to start again.

Any help, tips or advice would be fantastic.

    Thanks

    Hello,

It seems this problem hasn't been solved.

The music app seems to have problem to download a lot of songs at the same time.

When I had this problem, here's what I did:

    - I used diskaid (or any app like this) to access the file system of the iphone and delete everything in the download folder (can't remember the exact name). You don't have to be jailbroken to access these datas.

    - Once the downloads are cleared, the workaround is creating several playlist of less than 100 songs each and download them one at a time. 100 seems to be the treshold for the music app to handle downloads fine.

    Hope this helps!

Everything (not just music) MUST be backed up at least once and preferably 3 times with one off site.

If I'm not mistaken, music from apple music which is downloaded for offline listening cannot be backed up.

If you restore your phone from a back up, no matter what, you will have to redwonload the music you want for offline listening.

I do back up my phone to my computer as I prefer to it iCloud but you cannot back-up music downloaded for offline viewing, as said by Bluxxt:
I was unable to locate a App to delete the pending downloads so going to have to restore tomorrow and just download a few at a time to hope it doesn't get stuck... again!
