I have just taken my iPad back because work bought me one and when I have checked my bank account the refund has not shown up on my account?

Can anyone please advise.

Can you please be clearer?

You "just" took it back? Minutes? Hours? Yesterday?

I'm assuming you're saying they're crediting a debit account? It's not instantaneous, give it a day.

I believe Apple only sells via credit and not debit so you will have to wait 3 to 5 business days for your bank account to be credited.

Assuming you purchased on a credit card, it can take 3-5 days for the credit to get back to your account. This is standard.

I paid via a debit card and it was taken back around 5pm yesterday.

Sorry for the lack of clarity.

I originally bought an ipad on apples website (preorder) and paid by bank transfer. I cancelled the order because I managed to get one from a local store on launch day.

Took about 5 days for the money to be refunded.

It took around 4 days for me. I returned it on a Friday morning. It was back in my bank account on Tuesday, I believe. I also paid with a debit card. But it is standard to take 3-5 business days.

Wait around 3-5 business day's from when you returned and check your bank. If it doesn't show up contact them. Also be cognizant of Easter Sunday, it "may" hold things up a bit.

Not a problem. Just relax and it may be posted to your account as early as tomorrow morning. It is likely that you bank only posts credits like these once every 24 hours.

:apple:

5pm is after bank business closing. So, the computer would not see your credit or update you account during the typical overnight settlements. The credit would be applied today (at the earliest) but still is unlikely to show up until after the overnight update.

I LOVE how one of these posts has 3 thumbs down and the other doesn't. Can you tell me what the difference is?

I voted the other one down to ease your conscience. Perhaps your sleeping pattern will improve tonight.

(Hope i don't offend the poster!)
