Hello, after recently falling on my ipod, the digitizer, bezel and LCD where destroyed, after purchadsing the replacement parts, i realised that my bezel did not come with the home button,

I now have to remove the home button from the bezel

it is held in place with 5 plastic pins,

Any ideas on how to get it out,

iFixit have nothing on the matter, and there is nothing in the web or indeed this forum about it...

cheers

Yes it is held by the 5 plastic pins, I just used an exacto blade to cut off the plastic stubs holding it in place and it slips off the pins. To mount it on the new bezel place it on the pins and then using the heated tip of a small flat screwdriver melt and press to flatten the tips of the pins so that they spread and when cool they will locked the home button unit into place.
