I have a old ( 20 years ) scanned photo that I'm editing quite a bit. I'm having trouble with replacing the sky, or at least making it look slightly blue. As the image below shows, there is no texture or colours within the white area ( sky ) but there is texture on the surrounding edges, such as the green bush.

Whats the best method for improving the overall look of this dull, flat sky ?

    Thank You

mask it, create a new layer, create a fill of the color that you want, blend mode to overlay and it should be there... you can adjust the strength by setting the opacity... dirty, but fairly simple...

or instead of an overlay, you can mask it and select Layer>New Adjust Layer> Selective Color and actually add in the blue from there.
