I know I've seen comments about how Lion handles 2nd monitors, but I had not found one specifically related to how i have mine set up, hence the new post.
I have my 15 inch mac book pro on my desk, with a 19 inch monitor mounted on a stand sitting above the macbook pro. with snow leopard, i had the mbp as the main display and the 19 inch monitor was the second, above the laptop screen. Not ideal but it's my only option given my desktop real estate at the moment, and it works. i tend to leave skype and a 2nd browser up on the 2nd monitor, and log in to my virtual office on the macbook pro.
now, i upgraded to Lion, and while it still displays the 2nd screen, and some things pop up in it, I cannot drag items into the second display. if i make it think its a side by side config, i can drag firefox or safari pages into it fine. as soon as i set it to be one screen on top of the other, it refuses to let me drag from the MBP into the screen above it.
Curious tho, was that when I opened skype, it poped up into the correct upper screen. And i can have my mouse pointer all over the seconds screen.
is this one of those bugs? or is there a setting now, that i just havent found yet? its like the top taskbar is a hard walll for firefox and safari...
