so I just got my 3gs and backed up my 2g phone thinking it would all sync perfectly on my 3gs. However, my music and apps did not sync when I restored the phone from backup. However, my contacts and everything else did sync. Anyway I had to manually sync my apps and none of my game saves are going to the 3 gs. I have 8 + hours invested in zenonia and I want that on my 3 gs. I already tried transferring purchases from the 2g and also tried backing it up again but itunes won't back up the inactive phone. Any other ideas, apple is no help at all.

yep, for some reason both times I called apple the reps, had no clue what to do. They are usually pretty good. They also would not say if a screen protector would damage the 3gs' screen.
