Help with syncing

By syncing my iphone to another computer, I know that the music and videos get erased, but do the contacts and other things stored aswell? If so what can I do to prevent or by pass this?

Before you bought your new phone the backup you made of the old one will have all this information

I didnt get a new phone, I just rebooted my computer without saving my old files 🙁 now I have to sync it to the new one, but Im afriad of losing everything, my music, videos and photos arent important but the contacts and other stuff that I added later on are 🙁
