I upgraded to Big Sur (finally) and found that my version of Objective Development does not work with the iOs. I followed instructions to install the upgrade so that I could use the native uninstaller and remove the programs only to find that I would need to purchase another license. I no longer want these applications so deleted them from my applications according to their website's instructions. I removed the icons but Objective Development still has a number of applications running in my Activity Monitor. I'm not sure what to try next.

Any suggestions/advice will be appreciated :)

Reboot after you uninstall. If anything is still running you missed it with the uninstall. As I recall, Little Snitch had its own uninstaller. That’s what you should have used.

Thank you! I unfortunately wasn’t able to use the uninstaller as the license would need to be renewed. I’m not going to pay for a license I don’t need right now. I forgot about the app entirely until after I upgraded. Do uninstallers generally help with this? Also, would it make sense to just restore the Mac?

It sounds that you don’t need a license to use their uninstaller. It’s common, good practice to provide a stand alone uninstaller in the .dmg download. That appears (I haven’t looked) to be what they’ve done.

Alternatively, the Little Snitch Uninstaller can be found in the Little Snitch .dmg disk image file, next to the Installer. If you don’t have the disk image at hand, you can always download the current version from our website.

Thank you! I’ll see if I can find the .dmg disk image file. Forgive the ignorant question but would this be in applications? I’ve not installed too many apps so not familiar with the terminology.

In my system, look for "Little Snitch Uninstaller" app in the Applications folder. It was created automatically when I installed Little Snitch.
