    Guys,

I've just ordered 8GB RAM for my 2011 MBP - This I know is an easy install, however I'm contemplating putting in a 256 SSD in replacement of the 750GB HDD that comes as stock - how difficult is this as my Mac didn't include a Lion disk with it and I have no other Mac computers at home. Is there a way of copying the installation files to a thumb drive etc?

    Help please :)

    Thanks

you can not copy the installs from other macs, you need the original install media.

There are loads of videos on Youtube and walkthroughs on iFixit on how to do this.
