Hello,

I recently installed wine through the terminal, and tried to install IE7.
I'm able to run IE7 but I don't seem to have an internet connection with it, and I can't go to my MAMP localhost.
I've also tried installing it through Wine / WineBottler. But I wasn't even able to install IE7 that way (or any IE for that matter).

So my question is: How can I let my IE7 find my localhost? I tried looking around but couldn't find any answers. I appreciate any help!

Thanks!

You do understand that WINE is a clone of a subset of the Windows APIs? You also understand that WineBottler is still in beta? This means that some applications will work, but many others will not work under WINE. There is a binary available for IE6. However, there is none for IE7.

If it is possible to get IE7 fully functional under WINE, then it probably requires knowledge that people on a site devoted to WINE have. I suggest that you look there. At least the signal-to-noise ratio will be much higher.
