I just visited a site and found out that my profile had been altered without my say so. The site is password protected and I am worried that someone that I do know has hacked into my computer and got hold of passwords etc. I don't want to confront him without having proof. Do you think this is possible on my mac? I have firewall up... and the password is fairly difficult to crack - he wouldn't have thought of it anyway.

Anyhelp would put my mind at rest.. thanks

your post is missing some info, like is the site hosted on your Mac?

I think he means like his profile has been edited on a forum or something...

The important question is - do you use the same password for multiple sites?

If the person you are talking about (who changed your profile) has access to your computer, it's possible that he just visited the site and you were already logged in, so he could change your settings..In which case the person doesnt actually know your password.
