Hi

Got a PowerMac G5 here and a problem. I have a PC that I want to pull my music from but the SATA HD but cable broke off so I can't take it out of the PC.

I got a new 300GB Seagate hard drive and it's going to be easy pulling the data from the PC but how can I keep using the drive on the mac??? if I format it in PC format??? Don't know what to do here.

PLease Help ///

I'm not sure if I understand properly... but I can speak to one part.

The Mac will read a PC-formatted hard drive just fine, assuming it is the right kind of drive for the computer (an EIDE drive won't work in a Mac with SATA only). I'd recommend, though, pulling the files off onto an already-Mac formatted drive, and then reformatting the drive with the Mac format. It'll be faster that way.
