Does it matter if my cable modem and router are hooked up to my older windows vista computer and use the router for my imac. Is is more secure to just use the cable modem and router directly with the Mac? My old computer doesn't have a way to connect to the router because it's old.
Just want to know which way would be more secure. Or does it matter?
Thanks
Hope I made sense

If you have the newest iMac, then I would suggest connecting your PC directly to the newest Time Capsule and have your iMac connect wirelessly to the Time Capsule. That way, your old PC still gets wired onto the internet and your new iMac takes advantage of the faster wireless speeds that were just made available this year.
