so... I unpaired my watch when I was having problems and now trying to erase all settings. I go through the watch and clock on the check and when it restarts it goes back to a watchface and says Device Locked. I have no idea what else to do. I think it’s shot. Any suggestions..?

Series 1

Try a full reset. Then pair it again, and download your settings from phone.

Tried it. It keeps going back to th display with the time and then asks to unlock my phone which is no longer paired. I even tried to remove it from iCloud. No avail.

Totally bummed

I know that. The phone is unlocked. The watch is no longer paired to it - so its pretty much useless and Apple wants $270 if I send it in??? That's almost the price of a refurb Series 2

Have you tried erasing your watch using the instructions here? https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204567

If you don't have your paired iPhone, you can still erase your Apple Watch:

  1. Keep your Apple Watch on its charger while you complete these steps.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see Power Off.

  3. Firmly press the Power Off slider, then lift.
  4. Tap Erase all content and settings.

If that doesn't work, I'd sign into iCloud.com and go to settings. Click the Apple Watch under your devices and see what options you have.

Good luck!

Thanks. Tried that. It goes right back and does not complete... iCloud shows the watch as offline - :(

How does one set the watch to show the medical ID slider?
