I'm trying to update my ipod but when i plug it into the computer, it will charge but itunes is not recognizing that my i pod is plugged in. any ideas?

iTunes>Preferences>iPod>Enable Disk use.
Is this check on? If so, turn it off and restart iTunes. That help?

If iTunes isn't recognising the iPod then the iPod Preferences won't be displayed. 😱
Do you have your music set to automatically sync with the iPod? Have you tried any of the iPod's 5 Rs of troubleshooting? 🙂
