Dear all,

I am new to my Imac & not really what you would call computer literate!

I still have my old PC & want to know if it is possible to network the 2 together (mainly so I can use the printer & label printer) without having to unplug the USB & change it to the other computer

They are joined by ethernet connection to the internet via a BT home hub (this is probably a name brand for a wireless hub)

Any ideas??

Thanks

oh, yes I'm not too good with computers so please give answers that your mother would understand!! :)

The short answer is yes, and as the poster above says, check out the netowrking guide that's on this site. Essentially, if they're both connected to your BT box, then they're both already on the same netowrk, and it's just a case of turning on all the right things.

Another point though - you might want to edit the title of your post to be a bit more descriptive than 'help' - 'networking help' etc might get you more answers (and some of our members can get a bit snitty about this).

Thanks for your help

I was doing OK until it started going on about changing my ISP address.

I have no idea what this is or how I find it?
