Hi, just upgraded from my 11" Air to a Macbook. Been using a Henge Dock for years, but it doesn't seem like they make a version compatible with the macbook. Does anyone know of a dock thats similar? Thanks.

Imagine something like that built into the back of an Apple TB3 display (Powerbook Duo style)

Good news for anyone following this thread, I emailed Henge Docks asking about it and they replied! Here is their response.

"We are currently in the late stages of development for a docking station that will accommodate the new 12-Inch MacBook, but we do not yet have a timeline for the launch of this new dock. Most likely this will be available towards the end of the year. As we have more information we will update our blog and social media, so stay tuned!"

So I guess I'll be waiting until then.

I wonder what's taking so long? MacBook's been out for over a year, and the one port they'd need to connect didn't change, so what gives? Seems like an opportunity squandered.

I don't think you realize the amount of resources that it takes to produce a new product even though might seem like a simple task.

Hoping they will include a hub with extra usb ports, display ports, and memory card reader.

USB-c is lacking real 3rd party support atm. It looks that it is hard to produce good quality usb-c dock/hub for a lot of manufactures out there.

Henge dock for MBP is simply put awesome. I know coz I've owned and used it. But I do believe that they will wait for macbook with usb-c and thunderbolt 3 support.

I think I do, given that I'm in the aerospace industry.

I've wondered if the hold-up has something to do with waiting for TB3?
