I miss vibrant colors

3 shades of "dirty silver" and Midnight, does not do much for me

This photo in a post above (shown again below) really accentuates how muted and "nothing" these colors all are.

Blue or green? I have night shift activated I guess I will need to see it in live person.

It may be pretty, but for the sake of photo editing, I want the colors in front of my eyes to be as neutral as possible.

Of course, with this display spec, this may not be a good semi-pro editing platform, anyways…. That's a shame, I've grown tired of the weight of my 16-inch M1 MBP.

I ordered one so I will find out soon how it looks to the eye. I think it looks ok so I certainly won't be disappointed.
I wish they would have offered real solid colors. But in the end I don't care too much. The only color I do not like is black. All other colors are ok with me. And solid strong bright colors is what i really like.

I ordered a maxed out M3 MacBook Air (silver, of course) last year during tax-free weekend. I probably won’t upgrade until the M7.

The first picture is the only one that does justice to seeing the actual color the others have poor angles and lighting. I am hoping to see in person, but so far like it the most. I already have a MBP 16” in space black and while I like it I want something different for this machine. Rip space grey.

Looks very nice in the video I have to say. I’ll probably stick with my usual silver though as I’m boring 😂

I wonder if the color is prone to discoloration over time. I'm not terribly concerned as I don't care if a notebook gets scratches and scuffs as it's a work tool or a toy or both. Was that ever a problem with the rose iPad's or the starlight MBA's? I have a rose gold iPad but it's been in a case all it's life so I wouldn't know.

Looks subtle, I think I'll like it. I pulled the trigger on one because my early 2020 MBA (last of the Intels) has always been a road apple, with static pops randomly emanating from it, even when the speakers are muted, and now I'm getting a lot of dropped frames when playing YouTube videos. The 2011 MBA it replaced aged much better, other than the battery.

The "Graphite" or whatever the dark color is looks like it would show fingerprints very badly. And Starlight is the new Rose Gold--nobody likes it.

I was hoping we would get some brighter more cartoonish colors like the original iBook. I’m probably in the minority. Perhaps it’s not possible to do those colors with the materials that they’re using for the device.

Looks good. Would have preferred a brighter blue. Apple continues to have very muted colors. But still nice to see another color choice.

This is sad. Instead of doing things that matter like making the display EyeSafe, they continue to do meaningless stuff like introduce new colors. Seriously, if all they sold were silver Macs but actually offered things like EyeSafe displays and made them 2.2 lb like many others, they would sell a lot, lot more of them.

Tim Cook will not give up until he has turned every Apple fan into a detractor.
