Apple has launched pre-orders for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. If you're looking to place a pre-order on one of these models at a cellular carrier, we've rounded up all of the best deals and offers you can find from the major carriers in the United States.

AT&T

Starting with AT&T, you can get the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro at no cost with eligible trade-in, and the iPhone 16 Plus for up to $830 off with eligible trade-in. Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available at up to $1,000 off with eligible trade-in.

If you plan on signing up for AT&T Fiber you'll also be eligible to get the iPhone 16 Pro Max at no extra cost. AT&T will also have the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 available for order this Friday, but the carrier hasn't detailed any offers on those devices yet.

Verizon

New and existing Verizon customers on the Unlimited Ultimate plan can get the iPhone 16 Pro at no cost, or up to $1,000 off the iPhone 16 lineup when trading in any smartphone in any condition. If you choose the Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Welcome plans you can get $830 off or up to $415 off, respectively.

If you're switching to Verizon from another carrier and add a new line, you can get an iPhone 16 Pro for $10/month for 36 months on Unlimited Ultimate, or $15/month for 36 months on Unlimited Plus.

In terms of watches, you can get the Apple Watch Series 10 for as low as $6/month for 36 months when you buy select iPhone models. You'll also need to trade in an existing Apple Watch to get this offer.

Visible

Visible has the full lineup of iPhone 16 models available for pre-order, and if you're switching to Visible from another carrier you can take advantage of a new offer. If you join on a new line of service, and purchase an iPhone 16 on the Visible+ plan, you can save up to $360 via monthly service credits.

Visible offers unlimited talk, text, and data for $25/month on the Visible plan or $45/month on the Visible+ plan. The Visible+ plan includes everything in the base plan plus smartwatch service, plus a few upgrades to mobile hotspot and international roaming features.

T-Mobile

  • iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro: No cost with eligible trade-in
  • iPhone 16 Plus: Up to $830 off with eligible trade-in
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: Up to $1,000 off with eligible trade-in

T-Mobile's offers are nearly identical to AT&T. You can get the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro at no cost when you trade in an old device and purchase the new device on an eligible unlimited plan. Otherwise, you can get the iPhone 16 Plus for up to $830 off and the iPhone 16 Pro Max for up to $1,000 off, both with eligible trade-in on unlimited plans.

Additionally, customers can get $200 back for every new line added to a Go5G Next or Go5G Plus plan (up to four lines). Families can also get four iPhone 16 models at no cost and four new voice lines for $25/line when trading in four eligible devices.

For Apple Watches at T-Mobile, if you buy any new Apple Watch device, you can get $300 off a second model when adding a new watch line to your plan.

AT&T is a great deal at $1000 off, but the $5.56 payment over 36 months is what sucks. You can’t get out early with any of the $1000. You can pay an additional $10 a month for their Next plan and you can at 33%, but they are only giving you $500 for the phone towards your next “Pro model only” phone. Otherwise it’s less.

Not a single one is offering you a trade-in credit at time of purchase. Mine sold on Swappa for $900 and average trade in value across a few places is $600 on the 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max. Unless your phone is worth way less and you plan on staying with the iPhone 16 for 36 months, these are not great offers.

I would have taken a Verizon offer of $800+ off a new iPhone by staying with them without it being dished out over 36 months. I upgrade every 2 years so their $1000 offer is actually $668 for me.

I'm quite certain you can get out of any of the plans if you pay your phone off. Otherwise it's monthly credits for 36 months.

If I order through Apple.com and not Att's website, where do I select for the $1000 off bill credits? Do I select installment plan and then trade in later? Kind of confusing.

t-mobile's systems won't process any payments. I have tried 50 times over the past 30 minutes using 10 different cards with the same result - "There is an error with our systems". Very frustrating

And Best Buy support AT&T and Verizon, but not T-mobile....so no other options but the T-mobile store.

I looked at the T-Mobile offer, I have to get the much more expensive GO5G plan to use the offer, the difference in the plan price make the cost of just buying the phone unlocked about even over a two year period, and once the phone is paid off, I still have the increased plan price, no thank you.

Can't ever take advantage of these because I have two eSIMs in my phone for work and personal. All these carrier phones come locked for at least 60-90 days, I think

I was tempted on the ATT deal of $1000 for my 13pm, but I don't want to be tied to the 16pm for three years. The 16pm would have needed a next level upgrade to make this worth locking in. My 13pm that still performs great.

You would lose the full value of your trade-in though.

Boost Mobile’s deal is ok too. Yes, it’s basically their $25 plan with an extra $40 for the phone bundled in. But $1650 in bill credits. 36 month commitment, so that extra $40 on the bill is $1,440 over 3 years. Considering no trade in is required, not bad.

But they throttle you to 2G speeds after you use your premium data lol.

It reminds me of casinos giving you free drinks while you're playing at the table.

If you get their most expensive plan they will give you a free iPhone Pro via bill credits over 2-3 years with qualifying trade-in

Same here. And now I’m trying on the tmobile app and it says “experiencing high demand, we’re working to fix it. Until then, go to Apple.com” and can’t even get to the shopping page.

That's true. You still may get a better deal if you keep the plan for 24 months or more and pay off the remaining amount verses trading your phone in for a lower amount with Apple. It's all a numbers game. I would go with whatever works best for you.

I’m on an old T-Mobil plan $107.00 mthly for 2 phones and an Apple Watch. Best deal for myself is through Apple, trade in and financing through Apple Card. To get the $1000.00 off T-Mobil required me to upgrade plan which would have increased my mthly bill to $180.00. Plans are identical except newer plan gets a yearly update.

If you're already on one of these plans it's a no brainer, but I did a lot of number crunching and the added costs for me to switch from my current (admittedly dirt cheap) legacy unlimited plan on Verizon to a new plan, even with the credit for the phone, would still cost me more in the long run. It was slightly cheaper to trade my current 13 Pro into Apple and do the rest as a 24 month zero-percent payment plan than it would be to upgrade to the more expensive Verizon plan and get an almost-free phone.

Different system in Australia - you can either trade in your iPhone 15 Pro Max after 12 months on contract and get up to AU$900 for a 256GB or up to AU$1,100 for the 1TB model, but then you still have to pay out the remainder of the contract (so the credit is of little value), or use Upgrade and Protect which is AU$15 per month and allows you to upgrade to another new iPhone on another contract and the remainder of the contract is wiped in exchange. You pay $0 if under 12 months left on your existing contract, or you pay $99 if over 12 months left on your existing contract.

I always buy the lowest model. So Apple giving me $650 plus 7% Florida sales taxes (so $695 trade in) for base 256gb iPhone pro max 15 is easy trade in

If you have 512/1tb ur trade in will be the same at Apple Store. So better off selling on 3rd party sites

But for those with base 256gb. Better and easy to trade in directly

Same old garbage offers. Makes zero sense to upgrade to the expensive required plan for 36mo.

Just keeping my cheap plan and buying the iPhone outright with gift card promotions.

Edit: changed “orders” to “offers”.
