Does Apple allow you to return/exchange the band in an Apple Store if you buy a watch/band combo you don't like? Or do you have to return the whole watch/band ensemble.

o_O Now I see ... I was staring at it wrong, like one of those Rorschach pictures. The Rorschach loop.

It seems like it would be more difficult to put on that the sport loop ... no?
In the livestream, they mentioned that these Ultra bands are designed so they are difficult to come off.

I've always liked the sport loop, very comfy, but I am eyeing the orange alpine loop. Also, the trail loops are shipping end of November so there's that ..

My series 4’s black sport band just broke last night and I went in to the Apple Store to have it replaced under AppleCare. It took them a few minutes to figure it out because it appears that the classic black band has been discontinued and so it is being replaced with a new Midnight band.

Even better: you can get a Nike hole band in a stainless steel case. Boo yah!

(Unless I’m wrong, this is a new thing…)

Same here, looked all over Amazon, also wrote directly to several manufacturers…all said ‘sorry’ no longer than Apple OEM sizes. Buy the band couplers, have a leathersmith make you a longer leather band is my only suggestion
Vegetarian unfortunately (don't use leather even though I do like the material)--plus I really need something washable. Just don't understand why they don't put a few more notches in. I may give away the 41 mm and get a 45 mm Series 7 (since they're still on sale places cheaper than the 8), but the case of the 45 mm looks so large to me. The 41 mm to me seems like the perfect size--I don't need to read a novel on it.

Ugh. When will they make a black aluminum watch again? The "Midnight" is really just dark blue and doesn't match half of the black bands. I really want to replace my ageing Series 4 but they haven't really given many options for someone who would like an actual black watch.

The money apple must make on these bands is insane. Most of them aren’t even nice looking and the fact that there are bands that cost more than the watches blows my mind

Well. They came up with three new styles, which is cool. But, is it just me, or is every new batch of bands less interesting than the previous batch? It seems there are fewer colors available every time and the desirable new colors are mostly just a shade off from the previously available colors. Or the new colors are not desirable at all. Is nobody at Apple enthusiastic about designing watch bands?

I don't like the look of the leather link in any color. But now it appears golden brown has gone away and the umber is... blah. Why can't they go back to the leather loop. I missed out on getting that one. Bummer.

Remember the wide variety of styles and colors for bands that were available for the very first Apple Watch?
I agree they are dark and boring. I couldn’t bring myself to by a new Watch knowing I’d be stuck with something so drab. So I went to the Apple store and picked up solo braided flamingo (pink) band that they still had in stock. You can’t order it online and their CSR folks can’t do anything. Suggest folks go into the stores to get more interesting bands before they run out.

Is it just me or is there not a Nike Sport Band that matches the Midnight case?
