While I love the idea of very thin phone, Apple being Apple it will probably bend easily. Im quite sure it wont be the case with Samsung.
Oh and battery life will probably suck on both.
Bendgate was 10 years ago. Whether they use an internal brace like the M4 iPads, or some other sturdier design, I doubt they’d risk the issue popping up again.

You hope it fails and sets a standard that phones should be thinner? Those two don’t work together.

You should be hoping it’s a success so that others follow suit.

There is no contradiction. PLENTY of products ultimately fail, but still leave a lasting impression on the market and influence the products that outlast them.

A thin iPhone failing? How would that leave a positive lasting impression for others to follow? Again. That’s just faux rage. What b.s.

Why the obsession for thinner?
How about getting rid of the ugly camera bump on all the phones and make them a few millimeters thicker.
Yes. By removing that camera bump and adding a thickness all around, Apple can actually put in a bigger battery while making the phone more comfortable to hold. Thinnest design might not be easy to hold on to the hand.
