Here's How to Share Your Location via Satellite With Find My

Just checked my iPhone 14 Pro Max with 16.1.1 and the "My Location via Satellite" feature in the "Me" area displays with a red "Finish Setup" message. The instruction is to turn on Share My Location in Find My while you still have a network connection.

Apple is going to blow up the satellite system when they activate this, millions of people will be sharing their location and the satellite will have a software crash and they'll have to turn it off and then decide how they want to charge per use. 😵

Well you have to be in an area with no wifi or cell coverage, so not everyone has access to such an area, but yea I was thinking of going for a walk tomorrow and try it.

this is great for adventurers who get into trouble and don't have a cell phone connection. going out on a day hike that turns disastrously bad because of bad preparation or just bad luck and finding out you have no cell coverage will aid greatly in getting help.
