Apple Intelligence is available in beta on all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad and Mac models with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to English (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, or U.S.), as part of an iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia software update. Additional features and Chinese (Simplified), English (India, Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish language support available in early April, with more platforms and languages coming over the course of the year, including Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.

The above foot notes per the Apple intelligence URL really hasn’t changed recently. We assumed that it’s coming this week still because the last four xx .4 betas occurred on a Thursday. So if it’s not available by tomorrow we again are in the dark to its availability. As long as Apple is working on it, we are Ok waiting just still in the dark to other things being accomplished such as conventual vs conversational SIRI. We recently did have the Apple Vision Pro manager get redirected to pursuing AI. Likely that is why it’s delay is pending,

You haven’t missed anything yet. Apple Intelligence is an Oxymoron in its current state.
True. I've been using it in the EU since its public beta launch, and even the simplest Writing Tools are not reliable enough to replace ChatGPT for me. Image Playground is too limited and simple for any use outside of novelty. Mail Summaries are decent for me, and are actually the only feature I use on a regular basis. It's very clear that Apple is playing catch up on AI for the entire iOS 18 cycle, and probably the iOS 19 cycle as well.

That's not what an oxymoron means. How does the word Apple contradict Intelligence?
In the same way that made Military Intelligence a standard joke.

I was so annoyed I rolled the laptop back to Sonoma even though I had to recreate my playlists. I'll wait to see if MacOS 16 behaves itself. If not hopefully Linux on the M1 will be fully up to speed.

The iPad is staying on 18.3 because it has an A13 SOC that is immune to Augmented Idiocy.

By the way, the reformat and reinstall freed up a considerable amount of storage. There must have been a lot unpurged update crud from the Big Sur that was originally installed, and I skipped Ventura entirely.

Finally, finally the bugs are a show stopping factor and might lead to some money loss.

Finally! Great news for my ears.

They butchered macOS and iOS and earnings just kept going higher, making it a non issue for them.
Now finally they will need to come to terms with the fact that they destroyed the ecosystem and it might lead to a loss of earnings. That’s the only wake up signal for the company.

Meanwhile, after emailing Federighi, I now have a case open with Apple to work on some email problems a few of us have been having since 18.x. I doubt he actually read it and it’s more likely that an assistant forwarded it to a different department. But hey, it’s worked twice for me emailing him. Once I even got an actual response. I even have two from Jobs and one from Cook.

I emailed him and cook 5/6 times. Except for some hardware replacement and some contact with a random engineer, software bugs were never fully addressed.

Was waiting for this update to try out the new Siri. But since it is no longer coming soon, not so excited. Expecting to see the final 18.4 release sometime in April.

So, “here’s when Apple will release 18.4” and then you read the entire article and there is no specific date or time just an extremely general opinion. Thanks
"early April" is the answer. The only information provided by Apple. What more do you expect?

This kind of doesn't make sense, does it? If there's "nothing new" then there would be no reason to release a beta, would there?

Gurman is only knowledgeable about hardware, he pretends to act knowledgeable about Apple OS development without really understanding what software does other then passing tidbits. Look at how detailed he got with AVP review versus talking up the current Apple OS’s.
