I ordered a refurb 2009 macbook pro a little while ago.

From a refurb company I have dealt with before.

I bought my imac and my 17" pre unibody macbook pro from them without problems.

So when they offered me a newer pro I thought ok yeah.

But Hermes seems to have "misplaced" it.

They keep giving the refurb company the run around and keep giving them different dates for delivery.
The refurb company have been requesting compensation from hermes at which point they "find" it and give a new date.
Still nothing, sadly I requested a full refund from refurb company which they are processing.
Hermes is not forth coming with compensation though and still giving me and my supplier dates which keep changing.

I'm not happy as not Pro laptop and supplier not happy as out of pocket.

    Anyone else had hermes problems?

When I first read the title of your thread, I thought you were talking about a watch band! :)

hermes are terrible, I've had lots of packages go missing with them. Sometimes I complain and the missing package sometimes "turns up", but usually without the senders packaging....humn.

I actively avoid any company that says they ship with hermes.

When my MBPro was delivered the courier asked me "Do you know what it is?" He obviously did. I was a bit taken aback by that. A little dodgy IMO. Sure they can obviously tell that the sender is Apple, but still a little odd.

Sorry guys did I confuse things with title?

The supplier ships in unmarked brown boxes with no apple logo or what not, I'm sure they know it is a laptop as bet see tons on the boxes.

The supplier does not usually use this service but they tried it.

I been informed 3 items they sent have gone missing :(
Just waiting get my money back so can go buy another mac.

    Was the 2.53GHz 4GB ram with 120GB ssd 13.3"
    I paid £160 for it.

fair bit more than that on ebay now, £250 and up.

not only has the pro gone missing with hermes....

not the macbook air I got from ebay is missing in hermes depot somewhere.
Also a duvet cover for a king size bed, they claim on the tracking "delivered and put through letter box"
A king size duvet will not fit a UK letter box slot! Also we where in at the time they claimed to deliver it.

    No impressed at all.

I don't trust courier companies. I know people who have temp'd for royal mail and other courier companies and said that the sorters steal so much... especially around this time of year.

    disgusting.

The macbook air I contacted the seller, he showed me proof he even paid extra (charged me £8 but paid £12) to get it to me next day.
It was meant to arrive tuesday, still not here.
Tracking says it at main depot, not even my local depot yet!

Still the pro laptop unknown and the seller still chasing it and dragging feet about giving me refund, so double unhappy there.

And Hermes after my fiancee emailed customer support about the duvet, well "we will look into it in due course" was the response!

I know black friday and xmas so gonna be busy, but to loose items which are tracked is bad.

I used to work for these guys while out of university. Worst company imaginable. I've got like 600 photos on my PC of the carnage, mess and destruction of customers parcels.
Their claim policy is a scam too. Just avoid them wherever possible.

I not got the choice as i'm the receiver not the sender.

I got a text few mins ago that the duvet has arrived.

The local delivery driver is good, turns out friend on my fiancee.
She spoke to him about the two missing parcels.

He looked on his pda and said not on my collection list from depot.
So lost further up the chain...

I'm way down on SW tip of cornwall so long way to travel to get to me.

I was clever enough to pay via paypal and have £500 fraud cover.

    I have opened a case.
I have also contacted company via email and phone (they supplied a mobile)

The rep's number they supplied is very helpful but he is not the office and is on the road a lot.
