Hex value in Color Picker ?

Hi..
I was just checking for a color picker, as I need that a lot of times in a day.

Can anyone say, how to get the hex value in the default Color Picker application ?

Go to Applications --> Utilities. Launch DigitalColor Meter. Toggle to RGB as Hex Color.

That shows 6-8 values in that 3 boxes , while I just need the 6 values exactly.

Anyway: hit shift-cmd-C when you're hovering over the colour you want to copy it:



That copies the value with this format (including the "-s): "#F2F2F2"

If you've chosen RGB As Hex Value, 8-bit, that is...

I needed that exactly.

And lets say, I have the color codes and I want to try what colour is that.
Can we do this here ?

This is a 6-digit HEX plugin for Apple's color picker. I use it and it works well.
