Curse those astronomers, now they tell us our nice neat zodiac (astrology thing, not the boat) is not what we thought. It's an outrage I tell you, an outrage!

Has your sign changed? Mine has:

Aries: April 18 -May 13
Taurus: May 13 - June 21
Gemini: June 21 - July 20
Cancer: July 20 - Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10 - Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16 - Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30 - Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23 - Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 - Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17 - Jan. 20
Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11 - April 18​



To be fair, though, when I searched on "revised zodiac", the second hit was an article with a 40 y/o byline. They have been deceiving all along.
 
What if I don't wish to be an Ophiuchus, and I don't???

I had a bow once, I'll stick to that, thanks.

I am changing from a Leo to a Cancer. What if I don't want Cancer?

PS: and what the hell is a Ophiuchus? An octopussy?
 
I changed from a Capricorn to a Sagittarius. Not that it matters since I've always felt astrology was a load of crap.

I was wondering if we'd have a thread like this here, but hoped the intelligence of the MR users would prevail.

There are two sets of Zodiacs, Tropical and Sidreal.

Tropical is the one most people go by, most of the world use this one, and indeed the majority of Europe and the US. It is the one that is usually referenced in schools, and your local paper and media etc. (Up till now of course...)

Sidreal is the Zodiac usually observed by Asian culture, who choose to follow this over the Tropical Zodiac way of thinking.

TLDR: Nothings changed, at least for the vast majority of the planet. If you are Asian, or live in Asia, then yes, this may effect you as you follow the Sidreal Zodiac as apposed to the Tropical Zodiac.
 
First Pluto and now this. Bad things happen in threes people. This won't end well.
 
No way I am a Sagittarius. It doesn't fit me at all.

I will always be a capricorn.
 
I'm still sticking to what I used to be - Aquarius, but technically I should be a Capricorn now. Actually not since I live in the west :D
