iPhone Hey Siri from lock screen with iPhone 6s Plus

It's my understanding that with the new iOS 9 update and iPhone 6s Plus, Siri will work even if the phone is in standby mode. However I can't get this work. If I unlock it, then it works, otherwise it doesn't.

Has anyone else got it to work?

Have you gone into the Siri settings and set up the 'Hey Siri' feature? You need to configure the feature to better recognise your voice, it is not activated by default.
