hey siri not working with airpods pro

SO when im using my airpods pro my hey siri command will not work anywhere but my apple watch. when there in the case and not connected her siri works fine, hey siri also works fine on my powerbeats pros. i have tried re-pairing airpods and resetting up her siri through my iphone none have worked.

Ok, I noticed this as well. Hey Siri for me works, but fails to work after a incoming text message is read to me. It won’t type my reply as it should, when you immediately say the reply after its done reading the incoming message. So I decided to say Hey Siri but Siri never activates, this has happened a few times now. I have to put AirPods back in the case, take them out again ans put them back on for Hey Siri command to start working.

that unfortunately doesnt work for me sometimes it works but majority of the time it doesnt work and again its just with the airpods pro my powerbeats pro works fine and hey siri works fine on my phone when there not connected

Hey Siri definitely needs an update on the Airpods Pro. Sometimes it works good and sometime Siri seems to sleep Especially outside it works bad where it would be most important for me

Those of you with this issue, do you have “Type to Siri” turned on? I’ve had better results after I turned this setting off.

well figured out my issue, unfortunately the entire mic on my right airpod is not functioning as hey siri for me only works when set to always left on mic preference and wont work on right at all, i dont even get input from mic on right during phone calls and voice memos. have a case open with apple and currently waiting to hear back

in my case both mics are ok and "type to siri" was off all the time. nevertheless it doesnt work very reliable.

I can only make it work when I am at home or anywhere where it is quiet, surely that can't be how it was meant to work. I have not once managed to use Hey Siri outside, even when talking loudly.

Update to previous post Hey Siri is just not working at all with my Air Pods Pro. Not so Pro after all

I have had this issue now for the past two weeks. Apple is clueless about it. It seems limited to Airpod Pro users who use Hey Siri. Rebooting my phone always fixes the issue. Apple has made me 1) reset my phone and restore from backup - didn't fix it, 2) reset all my settings (in general) - didn't fix it, 3) and last night had me completely wipe the phone and reinstall all my apps from scratch - didn't fix it. Apple doesn't know what to do. I'm not sure what to do. I'm very frustrated as I frequently use Hey Siri and it stops working. It only stop AFTER I've connected to the Airpod Pros and then some time goes by.
