One of the things my Apple Watch has done for me is allow me to dictate what I need at the grocery store and places like BJā€™s or Home Depot.

I have always been able to say ā€œHey Siri, show me my grocery list and it would show the times on my grocery list for me to scroll through.

Now when I ask Sire to show my grocery list all it does is say ā€œYou have 4 items on your grocery listā€. It does not show them or give you the option to show them. It is now useless!

Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Mine behaves the same way. It must be a bug. Let's look for a fix in watchOS 9.2. Until then, consider saying, "Open Reminders" to launch the app.

Thatā€™s cool to hear it used to work for you, is that using the Reminders app or Notes? Or something else?
Iā€™ve never been able to get it to work in any practical way. Best I can do is have a Note in Notes app that I add to with thumbs and read myself. Between iphone and the watch I am continually disappointed how long itā€™s been and thereā€™s still no practical grocery list implementation. In particular I want to be able to say ā€œhey siri, add ___ to my grocery listā€ like my friend does with his Alexa and Android phone.
However, he did get to the grocery store and then not have phone service, so after all his list-making he couldnā€˜t access his list at the store.
Sounds like youā€™re using the Reminders app probably, reminds me to try it again, but I dunno why I just canā€™t get it working usually.

Yes. I use the Reminders app. I have a list called Grocery (shared with my wife) and I just say, "Hey Siri, add eggs to my grocery list". I can say this to my phone, my watch, my HomePods, and it just works.

Mine works. Hey siri add eggs to grocery list. I have a separate category for groceries in reminders. Itā€™s also shared.

ā€˜after adding eggs to you grocery list, ask Siri, on your watch, to display or show your grocery list and tell me if you watch displays the list of items or if it just tells you how many items are on your grocery list.

I have no problems asking Siri to add items to my grocery list, just having an issue in getting Siri to show me the items on my watch.

Yeah it doesn't show my Grocery Lists, only how many lists I'm having in Reminders. šŸ˜“ So useless.

Yeah I get the same thing, too bad. So it used to show the list before this update? Letā€™s hope they fix it in another update soon. For now I will try to remember to use it, itā€™s a super long-time habit for me to just use a shopping list Note in the Notes app but I can see the benefits of the Reminders app way instead, will try to use it more.

Oh I see the issue. Yah it just say you have x number of items instead of showing the list. Well all I can say is blame apple! They give you two things and take away one thing

Hello @Jackbequickly

Try by creating/ adding your ā€œGrocery Listā€ in the reminders app under ā€œmy listsā€
Once finished and you wish for SIRI to open that list on your watch, give the verbal command:

ā€œHey Siri, LIST my remindersā€
Or
ā€œHey Siri, LIST grocery remindersā€

The items on your list should come up. It works for me.

Works for me too. Thanks! I shouldā€™ve been using Reminders as a shopping list a long time ago instead of Notesā€¦

So true.
I love notes too though. Iā€™d forget so much stuff if it werenā€™t for the notes app.
