Hi everyone,

Has someone experience of good software to recover a lost HFS partition? After loosing electricity while writing data on my external hard drive, my macbook cannot find the partition anymore. Is it possible to recover the whole partition or do I need to recover the lost data on another hard disk? All ideas welcome! thanks🙂

I have had good luck with Gparted. You can download a live disk, or you can run it in linux. It's free. I had Bootcamp go wrong and my osx partition disappeared. Technically I used GParted to repair the FAT partition, then OSX partition came back. Come to think about it, I'm not sure that it's happy with HFS+. It's worth a look though.
