iPod HHD Upgrade in 2nd Gen iPod

Has anyone successfully upgraded the 20GB drive in a 2nd gen iPod to a larger drive? I've got a spare 40GB drive from a 3rd gen which would be a nice capacity upgrade to the 2nd gen. Any capacity limitations or other issues from doing this?

I have a 2nd gen 20GB that has a 40GB from a 3rd gen. Also, a 1st gen 5GB with a 20GB from 3rd gen.
