You can't open an iPod game - they can only be played on the iPod (and only 5G and 5.5G iPods at that). What settings have you chosen in the Games pane of the iPod preferences in iTunes.

every setting is the same as before. The iPod game worked before. it just ignores it if you double click on the bejeweled 1.0.ipg file
EDIT: Just checked in the preferences, no games stuff
